MSA Architects is the proud recipient of the 2011 American Institute of Architects Ohio Gold Medal Firm Award.

The highest honor that AIA Ohio can bestow on any architectural firm, the AIA Ohio Board of Directors grants this award to a firm who has consistently, over a period of at least ten years, distinguished itself through excellence in the practice of architecture including:

  • Having a great depth and breadth of work
  • Operating in a collaborative environment
  • Consistently directing itself towards the future while remaining respectful of the past
  • Having the ability to transcend areas of expertise and make connections between areas in the event that the firm’s areas of focus might be circumscribed
  • Being widely known by the quality of its products: by those who practice architecture, by those who teach architecture and by those who use architecture.


Withheld if there are no worthy submissions, MSA Architects is proud to join the Awards list that includes other prestigious designers such as Richard Fleischman Architects (1988), and Phillip Markwood Architects (1991).

While undoubtedly one of the greatest honors to receive, this Award further proves the ongoing dedication MSA has for its city, community and clients. Now endowed with the recognition to back up our claims of passion and honesty, MSA will continue to create environment that work and places worth living in.
