An annual design competition comprised of members from The Cincinnati Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Cincinnati), the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Cincinnati/Dayton City Center, the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Cincinnati/Dayton, the Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD) Cincinnati Chapter and the Miami Section of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), the Cincinnati Design Awards (CDA) competition was held in downtown Cincinnati on Friday, November 11, 2011.
The goal of the CDAs, as described by the AIA, is to “recognize high quality design in the regional community and to educate the general public to the benefits of supporting quality design.”
Every entry is judged by a jury of distinguished guests from each professional design discipline with the principle juror generally being an Architect of national renown. Awards are presented at the Cincinnati Design Awards (CDA) banquet affording a significant opportunity for members to display their talents to the local media in a highly public venue.
MSA Architects swept the Cincinnati Design Awards this past month with wins for all seven projects entered:
