After months of tutoring sessions and written correspondences with pen-pals, MSA and the Adopt-A-Class students celebrate the holiday season with pizza, soda and gifts.
Knowing the importance of a good education and influential mentors, MSA donates staff time for weekly tutoring sessions with the Adopt-A-Class students. In addition, each student is paired with an MSA staff member for bi-weekly pen-pal letters. These letters give the children an avenue to practice their writing and grammar, while creating strong bonds between mentor and student. Everyone always looks forward to the end of the quarter as there is always a big celebration and usually, an equally large and entertaining performance from the kids.
