The Memorial is integrated into the Mason Municipal Complex through it’s location, materials and textures. The earth shelters the Memorial and provides an area to honor veterans. Vertical stone markers provide contextual information of military events and serve as a stark visual reminder of the costs of war. Other significant elements include the Eternal Flame, Wall of Tears and the service branch Donor Plaza.
