Building Addition and Interior Renovation

Church of the Good Shepherd

Montgomery, Ohio

MSA conducted a thorough facility survey and master plan for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s largest parish. Subsequently, MSA provided full architectural services for a major building addition plus renovations to the existing space. Phase one included 36,500 sf of new construction, of which 8,500 sf was rebuilt within the existing building footprint. The new construction consists of a main entrance and gathering area, multi-functional meeting/classroom spaces, and a Parish Life Center housing administrative areas, offices, a library, and counseling rooms. The new entrance was designed with a steel canopy and masonry colonnade welcoming the user into a 26-foot tall, clerestory window gathering area.
