For Katie, every day at MSA is a little different, each with its own unique challenge. Some days call for meetings, others for selecting materials (light fixtures or furniture), and almost every day requires some drawing. No matter what she’s doing or where she is in the project, Katie never stops asking questions and never ceases to push things to perfection. It’s a learned tendency that she says comes from a combination of her father’s work ethic, and the tenacity of a design principal she worked with in DC named Janet Farrell Kresslein.
Though the work day ends, you will rarely find Katie sitting still. From stretching her legs on her road bike, to tolerating golf with her husband or looking for reptiles in the woods with her kids – you’ll usually find Katie outside and in motion.
