MSA conducted a campus master plan that provided the Township with a comprehensive analysis of current and future public safety needs along with an operational analysis of the Township’s communications system.
The existing Township Administration Facility will be modified to relocate 911 services and information technology into a new facility. This existing space will accommodate the Township’s cable television operations. The new Emergency Operations Center will accommodate the 911 Communications Centers and Radio System, the Information Technology Department and all of West Chester’s Information Technology distribution equipment. The Station #1 Fire Headquarters will be replaced with a new 34,200 s.f. facility to house the fire administrative offices, fire inspections and an emergency operations area. The Cemetery Department will be reorganized and enlarged to a 3,400 s.f. facility to provide maintenance and support services for the Township’s current cemetery functions, which is contiguous to the main campus.
